MSEA, MABE, and PSSAM release blueprint for fixing maintenance of effort
MSEA, the Maryland Association of Boards of Education, and the Public School Superintendents Association of Maryland called on Governor O’Malley and the General Assembly to adopt comprehensive reform to protect the student programs and crucial services in danger of being cut if MOE is not fixed.

Maryland Educators Focus on School Funding and Set Policies at Annual Meeting
More than 600 educators from across the state convened to set the priorities of the Maryland State Education Association (MSEA) for the year, focusing on protecting school funding and fixing a broken maintenance of effort law. The Representative Assembly (RA), MSEA’s primary policymaking body, passed numerous policy statements and resolutions on a range of subjects of critical importance to the state’s students, educators, and public schools.
